
I swam a mile tonight in 24 and change. My best swim yet this year. Faster than previous time by around a minute. Stoked to have had such a good swim after a hard bike ride yesterday
My goal is to get down to 20 mins. Getting under that would take more training than I have time for Im sure.

Last Friday I did 2K and
Last Friday I did 2K and felt good. Nobody in my lane (I love that) and got into a rhythm quite quickly. Focused on stroke technique (I know I know..) and swam with less effort and strokes/25 meters than last time I checked - efficiency is coming back again! Psyched. Would like to have a coach check the mechanics though.
PAN, is it worth it for me to comment under this to keep a blog with the same topic going or just create a thread under off season poaching?

Fuck me dude, I have been swimming pretty steady for about a 3 weeks now. Im just starting to crack the 900/half mile mark. My technique and breathing are fucked up. After my first 200 I have to start breathing every other stroke. I'm trying to stretch it out so I start at every 5th stroke and fall back to every 3rd stroke. I have a real problem breathing to my left side, I don't know what my problem is but I am struggling. I'm sure the smoking and drinking is playing a big part of it. I'm trying to get back to swimming 1800 nonstop but right now half of that is kicking my ass.
