I have been chatting with 'the man' about the next phase of poachninja development.  Part of that is experimenting with enhancing the graphics.  What you see now may not be permanent, so don't start crying and moaning if something is looking odd or not working nicely.

As always, any changes we make look way better in Firefox than IE6.  Most people in big corporation still use IE6.

I have added a new item Wiki Discussions to the Wiki Tools menu that is visible on the left hand side of every Wiki page. Using this page you can keep track of all discussed Wiki pages. This is pretty useful as discussions regarding Wiki editing and modification of existing content is what drives a better Wiki.

In case you missed the discussion in my last blog post, poachninja.com is now live in the sense that it is open to be viewed by the public and others can join. However we have decided not to start an intense promotion campaign yet. For the moment its enough to have good interested people join and build content as the season approaches. So refer the site to friends that you think should be here and make an effort to submit content, like a picture every week, a blog post, a wiki entry/edit. It all piles up pretty fast in a month or two if we each add something quality each week.

I'd like to get this puppy on the road and put the development behind me. Its taken 2 solid week plus of long days late nights and a sore back from working at my kotatsu.

Who wants to see t go live this week and what strategy (promotional) are we going to use to get the party started?

I tried to fix a problem with the photo albums and teh complexity went overboard... and in the end I had to start again. So the few pics that had been uploaded have gone. Sorry. Thats the fun of beta testing. I think it is all ok now, let me know if there is a problem. It took my entire day so I am now a day behind getting the loose end ready for going live.

You should be able to add pictures, edit and delete your own pictures. Comment on pictures. If you are not logged in you can only view pictures.

When we go live the following will be in place:

Members with 100 Points are automatically assigned a place in the Wiki Editor role.

I will reset all beta testers points to 101 on the day we go live. So all beta testers can edit the Wiki and start clean with the same points.

Note: if a good person joins and you ant them on the Wiki Edit team, then they can get a special Wiki Edit role (but not 100 points)

Also, the 100 points can be higher or lower if other think it should be.

Before we go live we should all go through Blogs, forums, Wiki and Albums to ensure that there are no 'stupid' test posts floating around. Also ensure that there are no things said that you don't want visible in public.

Note: I moved the 'banned form SJ thread' to the Chat Forum. It will be visible to all visitors.

Sorry, your old test photos were deleted when I improved the albums functionality. Can you upload them again to test out the new Album. And that includes you Tsonda and your anti-SJ inage.

I had to correct another error, should be the last one.  To carry the correction over to your My Pages, please reset them.

Click My Pages, then the Settings tab, then select "Reset to Default" (see the link under "Options")
