If you are a baseball fan you know what happen tonight. My hats off to Godzilla, it is a proud day for him and Japanese baseball. M.V. muthafuken P. of the World Series. Simply amazing. No DH has ever won the World Series MVP before, this is an amazing accomplishment and its awesome.
Long live Godzilla.

They shouldve put him in left field and moved jonny damon to center for game 5.
His knees suck but his bat and his nerves are some of the best in baseball.
He proved that he doesnt get nervous. IF im then yankees I tie him up to DH and
play some left field as they bring gardner along.

I might be mistaken but wasint this his last game with the yankees-- as well?
yankees fansssss man, so I lived in boston when I was in JHS and HS-- so I dig the sox, and I was fortunate enough to be living in brooklyn in 2004--
I remember being in a bar, about half filled with yankees fans, the other half was mostly red sox, and mets fans.
I remember one yankees fan kept saying, "ILL GIVE JOHNNY DAMON A FUCKING BLANKET!!" --because he looks native american.
stay classy, NYC!
Im an anti red sox fan. As long as they dont win I dont care who does.
It was Matsui's last game on he contract but Im sure the yankees will
talk to him about what his goals are. If those goals match up expect him
to re-sign.

hah fair enough, Im the same with the yankees. But im not the average loud douche about it. I grew up in Iowa.. have better manners than bostonians..
Dont become a soccer fan then.

I saw the red sox at the old yankee stadium then the next drove to fenway to watch the game.
Fenway was epic for baseball but the bronx was epic for personality and fear. Yankee stadium was like an old Wu tang video where as Fenway was like randy travis. Take your pick.
Go Jays go!
Ive gotta say boston has a lot of choices to make this season.
To be honest I would just play out the year with what they have
and hope for the best. After that some of those bad contracts
will be gone and they will have more room to spend.
Yankees love em or hate them at least they put a great team on the field.
and they still make truck loads of money. The maple leafs make truck loads of
money but they cant seem to even get into the play offs.

208 million dollars feilds a pretty nice team. My bet is they let Godzilla go in the off season. They wanna get younger, the rumor is Damon or Matsui will stay but not both.

I wouldn't keep him since he can't play the outfield anymore. It makes much more sense for them to divy up the dh role among the other guys to give them a night off from defence. but then again, he's still got a solid bat and the japanese merchandising sales he brings in would justify keeping him for another year
He's going to end up in Seattle, mark my words.

for swansong final year with the Hashin Tigers, his dream was always to play for the Tigers so it was quite ironic the Giants got him in the draft.
When his last year will be, who knows but he will will play one season for the Tigers before he is done.
The problem his knees wont be able to handle the japanese training.
If im the yankees I keep him but i dont think they will.

just bought the most expensive seats i could find for the Penguins vs ATL Thrashers game 3hrs after my 22hr flight home arrives. Corner ice, 3rd row back, $300. I figure I may never have another chance to watch Sidney Crosby play.

NHL, my favorite sport to watch live. Have fun watching one of the greats.

I so perfer center ice 25 rows up.
YOu get to see the whole game.
My dad used to work 5 minutes walk from maple gardens. Free parking and tickets all the time.
My first game was montreal vs toronto and it was like a 6 to 5 game.
I owe alot of balance to my hockey days. Was actually scouted by a high school in Pittsburgh to
go play center as a set up man for a couple of wingers. I didnt want to leave home though and
I never saw hockey as anything more then something I did for fun. I wish Hakuba had a rink or some ice!

Looks like he's off to the Angels for something like $6 mil for 1 year.
for 6 mill the yankees shouldve made that deal!

Yeah, that's not a bad price for a Series MVP, although his regular season was pretty average. Just hope he doesn't go bouncing around from team to team as a DH for the rest of his career like Kiyohara did. Hopefully he'll know when to call it quits. As long as he doesn't go down the Shinjo road either.
He was solid bat and takes walks.
Whether its a pressure cooker or a regular game
he is unfazed! He has proven that since high school.
