Almost every ninja has been accounted for on FB, right?

To all Ninjas Outside Japan:
Please donate money to the Red Cross relief effort in Japan:
http://american.redcross.org/
http://www.globalgiving.org/projects/japan-earthquake-tsunami-relief

If you're on a North American cell phone network, you can also text (i.e, send an email via cell phone) the REDCROSS to 90999, your account will be charged a $10 donation, just like for the Haiti quake. Each text to the number above is a $10 donation, so unless you've got money to burn, don't send it multiple times like Shinobi's post in the Funny thread.

Scroll to the bottom of the page to watch NHK (Japan Broadcasting Corporation) news live online.
It is good for visual information if you don’t understand Japanese:

Take media reports of the nuclear plant in Fukushima with a grain (or pound) of salt. Could be as bad as Chernobyl.

Godspeed. I imagine the food, water, and electricity even in Tokyo will begin to run short.

The ex-pats who call Hakuba home or a second-home created this community to share the stoke, the travels, and +vibes we all get from the mountains. Now Japan needs your love.

Support Japan Red Cross, when buying t-shirts http://www.mbprints.com/store/#ecwid:category=778299&mode=product&produc...

2000 Yen

1500yen (or roughly $15) from the sale of these t-shirts will go directly to the Japan Red Cross

Their donation is nice, but the logo on their "Supporting Japan" T-shirt misrepresents post-war Japan. Show the Imperial War Flag to any other Asian country and they could be reminded of occupation and oppression.

Would some company sell shirts that have a partial swastika logo with "Supporting German Technology" on it?

I don't mind if they have so

I don't mind if they have so called old Japan war flag pic on the t-shirt, the money goes to purpose.
And I can even use it to clean my car.

BTW, I got today my t-shirt. It takes one week to deliver it to Finland. Quite fast

I do mind. Pre-tsunami, I would just brush it off as another gaijin/harajuku tourist gimmick. But I can't.
It's not the "so-called" imperial war flag--it is the imperial war flag.

Yes, the T-shirt company's heart is in the right place.

So, you would wear a shirt with a swastika on it, with the words to the effect of, "Supporting Germany."
That is really sad.

I guess I should throw away

I guess I should throw away my "Remember Pearl Harbor" t-shirt which has Mt. Fuji and a giant mushroom cloud on it. Profits went to WWII vets.

I guess the imperial war

I guess the imperial war flag could work as a part of fundraiser item in markets that have no clue how much civillian people the imperial army did kill.
(Amount that very likely sums up more than the nazis ever did.)

In other asian countries the effect might be approximately the same as asking flood relief for Germany or Austria few years back - by selling t-shirts with Adolf Hitler Leibstandarte - or some other SS flag - in Israel.
Not likely to work very well.

Personally I don't care about the insignia as long as the money goes for the good cause.
