I stopped dreaming about skiing 2 years ago after a accident. No snow,no mountains and no skiing in my dreams anymore.

This spring, after few trips and time on snow again,I started to have them again. Short flashes of snow, cold and mountains.
Quiet dreams. Just stillness, clouds moving over peaks and strange places where I have never been.

Last night it was all different.
I was skiing again.
A big line that was. Huge actually. Alaskan size.
After few hesitant turns I started to get back to the flow. A nice banking to left, shift in weight, good pressure on the shins.
Angulation was ok as well. The line steepened but instead of cutting speed I started to push it,big round arches, that kind that you feel in not only in the tighs but that make you tense up your neck muscles as well. Then a large cliff started to show up.
A monster actually, maybe 30 or 40 meters but with a nice snowfield looming underneath it.
Few quick turns to curb the speed then it was just to point it.
Sudden feeling of weightlessness overcame me.
"Keep it straght, now hold it...push the tips just a tad forward...hands forward..."

BOoooFF

Impact.A cloud of whiteness.Pure joy.

Without stopping, without looking back I continued to make arches down the snowfield that seemed to continue to infinity.

They are back.

Dude, bad tripping indeed... You should watch more of that japanese schoolgirl pron..
Dream about good stuff, you know, positive reinforcing and feedback? Smiling

It was weird to talk about dreams with a psychologist friend a while ago. He said that only about 10% of people dream
of flying. The rest hit the ground and wake up... Weird stuff.

Dude, I dream of flying a lot for some reason. Did your friend gave you any interpretation?

I had the best sleep since

I had the best sleep since summer vacation last night. Slept like a baby for 10 hours. Woke up refreshed and ready for a run or mtn bike ride. I too had my first skiing dream in quite a long time which was sick. Pillows, trees, and powder. Hopefully only a month or less before Im skiing.

What I remember of the psychobabble, in short the "flyers" are predominantly people with a strong (healthy or bloated) self esteem, imaginative, has tendencies towards escapism, extroverts, has a clear percieved image of reality and in general posses a "Can Do" mentality.
Stereotypically persons are dreamers, artists and/or enterpreneours with a weird business sense..

Missed half of it but that was a general feeling of the "lecture"..

Or something..
