mountain biking in northern japan

I currently live in Misawa and i bought a dh bike over the summer last year. I would like to know if there are any places to go that are not 6+ hrs away to ride

Unfortunatly we really don't have many Ninja's up north on Honshu. But here are a few websites that may help.
