hey I had G3's before but had to return them, you sure they hook up to split boards well? They stank on mine.
I may grab the axe off you. I have the same one but want another... will most likely. Thinking of grabbing a chu-hi keg fo rthe holiday. maybe we could be friends.
The G3's work better, the glue seems to suck from my limited experience. They don't have the angled clips that make the Tractor's so nice, a little annoying but not a problem so far. The problem is the glue. I'll go for BD next time.

the stove is on ebay if anybody's interested. I would deliver to Hakuba free of charge.

I will take the sleeping mat for sure. 1500 done. I think that is roughly the price of a bottle of jaeger in jusco...
Interested in the stove. Bizarrely the reactor appears to be unavailable in Japan. But in the end I may just settle for a jetboil for convenience/lightness/antisocial value. Will think about it, obviously go ahead and sell it should the opportunity arrive. dbHAG you have any thoughts on appropriate stoves for Hakuba?

sleeping pad all yours... luxury awaits you. sort me out in Golden Shower Week i guess.
i don't think there's really much difference between the reactor and the jetboil. just the name really. some say the reactor works slightly faster and handles more extreme temps but weighs a bit more. Some people have had the neoprene melt off their jetboil when they boil over and jetboil will not warranty supposedly. i haven't heard anything bad about the reactor, yet.
if you have both types of stoves (liquid fuel and solid fuel), you won't use the liquid fuel 99% of the time. It's just a little more complicated and not as compact/organized. The only time i can think of when you might use it is if you were going somewhere off the grid where you can't get the little solid fuel cans and you can only get kerosene or something. Himalayas, Patagonia, Greenland for instance i would take XGK probably, but i'm not going there anytime soon.

actually, still just my two cents, but unpacking the XGK (i haven't used it for a year), i remember what a shitfight it is. The windscreen and heat reflector setup kind of sucks. The pros carry those stoveboards, but who wants to carry a stoveboard when you're traveling light? The reactor/jetboil is not affected by wind because there is no flame. The Reactor has one moving part - the regulator. There is no pumping. Neither are able to simmer. they have one setting - boil. Being able to cook with multiple pots is a nice feature for a stove like the XGK. One for food, one for boiling water. but i'm not too fussed if there's oatmeal/ramen in my water.

You are a master salesman. I think I'll stick with just the pad - is it somewhere in the house? If so I'll pick it up Friday if that's OK.
I love the idea of cooking up a delicious meal for tent consumption, but then again I am hardly a Tsondaboy even with a fully equipped kitchen, so a simple pot is probably more than adequate.

it's hard to beat the "backcountry cuisine" meals for taste and convenience i find. kiwi export. if they could make freeze-dried Tui i'd never come home.
