for those of you who haven't been up to Haks in a while, Daryl has put in close to 100hrs improving the local trails and building new ones. FT has put in a shitload of time as well despite his busy schedule of cleaning up baby poop.

Soprano has got a new jump park at 47. Further afield Fujimi Panorama is so good and it sounds like a Happo may be trying to build something to compete. You can link XC trails pretty much all the way from Iwatake to where Fischer's Secret starts in Ochikura. It's retarded.

Thats the new finish at Minegata - AKA 'Larry, Daryl and Daryl'. Basically cuts out at straight shot option or where the slow switch backs start (after the berms just before the end and shitty break rut).

If anyone does go ride it- have fun, please don't ride it if its been raining a lot and watch out for trees.

kom, you should consider meeting up at Fujimi for DH lift access on Saturday then busting up to Haks after with ninja or me.. It may be a way funner way to get started on the mtb.

I rode all the new stuff today (LDD and fischers) and the goryu hump trail. Some one cleared all the bushy trees after the road just before the dh on fischers. I think I found a better route down to the bridge too.

Nice idea for sure Daryl, but I am going to Niijima this weeekend and FT isn't around either (have a load of shit at his place I need to clear out). But I will be up before long.

Anyway, just did Yanaba ridge line with some of the ninjas and it is appropriate that we did it on what is roughly the commemoration day of the Bataan Death March (I think it was yesterday in America). 8.2 km of brutal unkempt trail, half of which I am sure I was walking my bike up. There was some stunning scenery though towards the end, not dissimilar to the Philippines in some places in fact, making the whole death march experience all the more real.

awesome... has rained here everyday for about 3wks. still riding, but it's wetter than a high school girl after a jar of boone's farm. trying to decide whether to rebuild some old DH tracks local to my house in this rain, but i'm discouraged by the moto guys here who totally fuck shit up all the time.

So long Daryl! We hit up Larry Daryl and Daryl in your honor today. You did a great job here in Hakuba and have left us with some great MTB trails. Thanks a bunch.

One course getting an up grade and a new name! So far 12 hours of shoveling jumps, 7 of them now that I remember.
full 180 degree berms! 1 to 2 hours to build these things by myself. The upper half is going to have to wait but the bottom

that sounds cool. show us your efforts. Pictures would be nice. Round my parts I found an new mixed with old track that connects 5 trails for a 2 hour downhill /light XC with one 25 minute push a bike at the start. (its lift access but runs out of the park). Pretty glorious. I'll shoot it when it rains again.
