Over the summer, I ended up deciding against Nepal, and opted to go back to Thailand for one main reason: I wanted to learn Thai massage. So I decided to spend 3 weeks in Thailand this past August.
Thai massage is awesome. I love the way it stretches you out like a mixture of Yoga, but it also really pulls and relaxes your muscles with a mixture of shiatsu and regular massage. To get a real Thai massage from head to toe, it takes a good 2 plus hours, though they change it up when you drop in at some place. Blind people are really good at giving massages bc they see with their hands, not their eyes. I have always been impressed with them.
The class was really good, and I met some great people there. I liked the class so much that I almost opted to study Thai oil massage, but instead opted for the beach down on Ko Tao and thats where the majority of my pics come from.

I met this guy in the morning and chatted with him while drinking a coffee watching the sunrise. He seemed like a decent enough bloke so I met up with a French couple and we went to Ko Nang Yuan. I then hired him for the next day and a German girl I met up with and I went around Ko Tao with him snorkeling.

just off the boat

took a little hike up this dodgy mountain path, almost turned back a few times but kept going. Finally at one point, since I was alone, I turned around. Didnt wanna kill myself and not have anybody there to laugh at me.

stunning clear water

the dodgy path around the island

love the water here

not a bad place to spend the day

the sunsets arent bad either

I love sunsets, I could take 100s of pics of them

random kayaker at dusk

mai aloi!!!

eels

all the peppers - I love thai curry, I could eat it daily until I die!!

you could smell this from 30 meters away.
I still have tons of pics to go through. I have some nice underwater pics Ill add next time. All shots taken on an Olympus UTough. Small little thing and very durable. No problems with it in the water. Seals are tight, and it can take rough beating. I left my D80 at home as I couldnt be bothered carrying it around. Now I wish I did.

In that case, I'd definately pass on it.
I almost lost my guts when I saw those frogs!

I didnt get a picture of it cuz my batter died, but I tried, and tried is the key word, eating tarantula....it tasted terrible - like eating uni, crab (including the shell), dirt, (probably) shit, with a gross factor of 10 thrown in for good measure. Never, ever, ever again...and Ive got a phobia of spiders too, especially those bigassmotherfuckers that are hairy!!
