My only joy on these hard office days are this kind of TR's.

It's f*ucking freezing in Finland, it's been -25 celsius in the mornings when i leave to work. Luckily I just scheduled my summer holiday for the two last weeks of May. Will be spending that mostly skiing in Scandiland (if the weather allows it, we'll have a respected Swiss skiing with us). Please feel free to join our skiing company ; for KoM and NM, there will be lots of swedish freeridegirls in the Scandinavian Big Mountain Championships

wow... awesome photos dude. personally i would've cranked up the saturation a bit but that's just me . sunday looked like a phenominal day and that shot of Kaerazu just makes me want to head back up there right now.

nice to see Pitlicker on the other end of a picture machine for once. the big frontside carve is an awesome shot. and the steep shot is sick too. fuck they're all sick shots.

Help me out here... frontside = heelside? Toeside? I kind of realised the last couple of weeks that when you, Daryl and Shinobi talk about what you're doing on a snowboard, half the time I have no idea what you're actually talking about...

pitlicker= frontside or heelside

crane = not sure/ neutral/ machio

daryl = backside or toeside

as in heelside pitlick / toeside pitlick

think about a half pipe - if your toes are facing the lip it's frontside, heels facing lip = backside. a frontside turn is a heelside turn. if spinning, frontside means rotating towards your heels basically (counter-clockwise if you're regular, clockwise if you're goofy). if on a rail, frontside is looking uphill, backside is looking downhill.

example: Coolest backside air ever. Ingemar Backman.

easiest way to think of it: if your ass is pointing downhill then it's a backside turn

went surfing this weekend. caught a wave and ate shit (frontside shit eat). waaaaaaaaaaaaay overrated.

With all due respect pinky, but catching a wave and claiming surfing is overrated, is almost equal to linking your turns first time on a groomer and claiming snowboard is overrated.
Not to mention its a totally different sport, with more points different than common.

I used to live in Perth and I watched surfers from time to time and actually just catching a wave seems like a pretty big accomplishment. It is a bit sad watching all those people bobbing around in the water only to get up on their board before falling into the drink 2 seconds later. In fact I was just waiting for my order at Kau Aina burger and was watching a recent surf movie wondering to myself "why bother?". Even the highest level pros can do little more than slash around for a few seconds. Then they cut to the girls in bikinis segment and I realised why they bother. Still, it seems like one would be better off hanging on the beach with the chicks talking about how awesome you are at surfing than actually getting wet with sand up your bum crack. Kind of like Satori's approach to skiing, minus the girls.

Not sure if its better to hang on the beach, but definitely we are on the same page regarding Satori's skiing.

It's great to see the forums come together in a unanimous voice.

Was wanting to comment on what a good TR this was and say thanks to kingofmyrrh for posting, but it looks like it's about surfing now. Anyway, good TR and thanks for posting.
