Some northern mates had to scrape their car windows and there was reportedly first detected snowfall in northern Finland.
(Allso St.Moritz had allmost two feet of fresh recently - the snowline descended down to 2600ft. elevation)
Only seven more weeks and the first domestic skitrip of the season is reality
Nothing fancy but still can't wait to stand on whatever that slides on snow.
And I'm going to the track with my bike the coming weekend.
I wonder will the 600W tyre warmers be enough - but at least the forecast showed dry weather for the weekend.
Fall is so irritating You have to give up the riding when the moist spots on the road start to freeze and yet the slopes aren't skiable allready.
Spring is nice in sense that with luck it's possible to get some mc action the same weekend that You come back south from the end of the season skitrip up north.
There are no new posts.
waiting for the 1st season snow TR out of Finland as always!

I know it is teaser snow but it is nice to see nonetheless
54 days on snow this season 55 days last season
Looks cool.
I hope Hakuba sells all it's capacity despite the expensive Yen and recentish events at the power plants.
The final trackday was good.
The weather was dry tyres warmed up A OK despite somewhat chilly temperatures.
Nice early season pic of Haks. Deep Blue skies + Snowy peaks + crazy dark green lush vegetation of the valley.
Great pic FT!
ロープを潜り入れ!!
Blaaah the weather sucks rocks here in Finland.
The Ski World Cup opening event was cancelled due to total lack of snow or subzero temperatures.
I went motorcycling the past weekend.
Postponed my first skitrip to calendar week 49.
On the other hand I allso booked flights to Ukraine for January.
I'm going to poach a somewhat primitivish "ski resort" in the eastern Carpathian mountain range.
The place doesn't actually have even a proper regularly maintained road yet, but the approach should be A OK, with surplus UAZ atvs.
A trip report shall follow - if I have anything to tell.
