Menu change
What do we come here for? Stoke and info. Most of that is in the form of photos and wiki maps etc. I'm thinking about making a change to the menu set-up so that screen realestate is maximised.
See the menu on the right. Does it really need to be there on every single page? I'm thinking about removing it altogether and putiing a new item in the horizontal menu above called 'My Stuff'. That would tak eyou to your home page which I ues you are all familiar with by now. One of teh key items on that home page would be the My Stuff menu. On all other ages it woud not show.
This gives much more space for bigger images and those with small screen res. It also makes the albums and Wiki pages view better since they have a menu on teh left and right, therefore way les image space in the middle.
What do you think? Do menu bars on the side just clutter the screen and steal space?

I agree with you as I too found it cluttered. One more thing, the front page is a bit intimidating to those not already logged. There should be a very simple "Log In" or "Guest" option. Maybe on the front page there should also be a big photo of the best stoke of the moment.

i agree and just to expand on that thought a bit - the login is/will be the first point of advertising really - a stoke pic is a good idea, and simple is good - but we need to give someone reason to log in who may have just stumbled upon the page. A new graphic perhaps? Needs to wow people into the arduous task of logging in for the first time. Methinks.

Thanks also for mentioning the frontpage. More people need to volunteer feedback like that. In the beginning I just made up things as I went along and just because I did so doesnt meqan its the best fro PN nor final. I put the front page there because we needed one. The page works, but I agree it could be better. Give me a few days to engineer something. Its not a big job, I'm just a bit pressed right now.
