Yoo.
Mr.Dumbarse here.
Usually you can do some selective spacing of chapters in forums by pressing enter. Here everything comes as big cunk.
Am I missing something?
Here I have tried to do a +1 enter between every line (1 line,2 lines,3 lines etc.,,). And could we have the normal italian/bold/underline thingys for text as well?
Poo.
Edit: and is it possible to have the EDIT button in the lower right corner besid the "quote, reply" buttons?
Edit 2: are you guys building this forum stuff from scratch or are you using some engine?
Edit 3: what the heck is that mumbojumbo under the post window? Damn, that is Nasa stuff...
Edit 4 : I dig this forum and I dig sushi. Thanks dudes.
There is something wrong with spaces between paragraphs, I have also noticed that. I plan to change the text editor and it might solve the isssue.
Sometimes it works fine, sometimes it doesn't. FYI, you can hit the magnifying glass button and write/view your entire post in html code if you want absolute control over how it looks.
Bold, italics etc are there in the toolbar. Or just look in the hints in that Nasa stuff you mentioned. All the html tags are there that you can use, the system generates that stuff automatically. I might try and hide it since no one seems to read it anyway.
For original posts the edit button is up the top, for replies it is down with the reply/quote button set. I cant change that, but the person who is designing this forum module might change it soon. Dunno. They are totally unrelated to poachninja, its free 3rd party stuff
shared under open source. The forum fucntionality is just a fraction
of the entire CMS framework that runs poachninja.com. Having said that, I have some more custom code modifications that I want to make to enhance the appearance a little. I will probably never get around to it, because its not my job/got other things to do/no one really gives a fuck anyway. And the more customisations I make, the harder it is for me to impliment upgrades in the fuure. Plus I have no intention of keeping up the Admin role for much longer (I've done my bit), so customisation makes it REALLY hard for the next Admin.
We (actually, me, no one else has done an inch of work) are not building the forum module from scratch. The entire site is built using a modern CMS called Drupal.... and it comes with a very streamlined simple forum module. To use fully bloated forum s/w would mean losing any integration with the rest of the site. You really need to see PN as much more than just a forum website.
