This week's picture from the season just finished. Taken on 14 April by my most regular and reliable spring touring partner, Dan. It was a cloudy day with 20-30cm heavy fresh on old rain re-freeze. It slide a lot on the descent, but always very manageable. More like slaby sluff than slab. Karamatsu (Hakuba, Happo area) is a pretty easy way to enjoy top quality chutes with great northerly shading.
