Minegata is now under some heat from the local land owners. As a result LDD is now closed and orders to remove all jumps have been issued. There is some contast of opinions as to when this is or was supposed to happen, so it looks like they are still there ... for now.
Mtb in Hakuba is returning to its home in the 80's.
WHERE:
Minegata is a collection of 3 trails in Hakuba. All 3 trails have stunning views of the Northern Alps. There a bunch of connecting and networking trails as well - go find them there fun too!
DESCRIPTION:
Minegata One: Short, fast and easy single track.
Difficulty: Green - Blue
Minegata Two: Longer than one, also fast and involves a few short up hills. Requires a short climb from the parking lot.
Difficulty: Green - Blue
Minegata Three: Much longer than one and two and also consistently much MUCH steeper. This trail requires a good little climb from the parking lot. Has a few sections of old hiking stairs that have been pressed into the earth. Working brakes are highly recommended!

ACCESS:
All trails can be reached via car or by pedaling up a paved climb which connects with a mountain access road. Follow the Minegata road signs until you reach the base of the small ski area. then look for the Lavender Garden signs, follow until you reach a large parking lot. Trail One is on the left of the parking lot. The two others are further up on the right side.
Each trail ends in a different location which is a short (10-20) ride to town. All trails are possible to shuttle.
