No affiliation with the backcountry gear company, this chain of three shops- one at the base of Kagura, a smaller shop in the Naeba shopping complex and one in Tokyo- is the freeride/BC shop of the Yuzawa area. The largest shop is appropriately in the Kagura parking lot. Here you can rent fat skis, tele skis, powder boards, snowshoes etc. They get K2 demos before anyone I know of so you can actually demo next year's powder boards while there still is powder. This is one of very few places in Yuzawa you could purchase BC safety equipment. They also carry a bit of park swag and have a lot of Spyder outerwear. If you are caught short of park skis and want to session the Naeba park, there are some demo twins in the Naeba shop.
